1. Caused to assume a crooked or angular form.

2. Turned in the opposite direction.

3. Formed into a spiral shape.

4. Extended in curves and turns.

Twisted visual elements in an image can include straight lines that have been bent into various curves and shapes.

Also, shapes twisted to form distorted surfaces can present interesting visual effects when viewed in carefully chosen lighting conditions.
