Animated Triple 1. A set of three similar things considered as a unit.

2. A quantity that is three times as great as another.

3. (baseball) A base hit at which the batter stops safely at third base.

4. (adj.) Having three units, components or elements.

Groups of three exist in nature and the man-made environment.

Three distinct points or elements in an image may be arranged in a straight line or form a triangle, one of the basic geometrical shapes.

Three elements may be identical or differences between them can introduce interesting contrast into an image.
