 heat : 1. A form of energy that is transferred by a difference in temperature.

2. The presence of heat.

3. The sensation caused by heat energy.

All bodies emit electromagnetic energy, including light, heat and radio waves, to some degree, and the amount of energy emitted in the different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum depends on a body's temperature.

The energy emitted by hotter bodies is more likely to include visible light.

For our February meeting, DIG members used their cameras to capture the sensation and effects of heat, as shown below.
