Feet/Shoes (foot)
1. The part of the leg of a human being below the ankle joint.

2. The lower part of anything.

(shoe)
1. Footwear shaped to fit the foot with a flexible upper of leather or plastic and a sole and heel of heavier material.

2. U-shaped plate nailed to underside of horse's hoof.

This month's theme focused on a part of the human anatomy that doesn't usually feature in photographs - the feet.

Photographing feet prompts consideration of a different viewpoint and opportunities to capture motion.

With their variety of styles, colours and textures, shoes present an interesting subject for still life photography.

DIG members accepted the challenge to create the thirteen "feet/shoes" images shown below.
